eGovernment

The use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is widely recognized as a key horizontal factor for growth. Consequently, the Government considers that the use of ICT in the public sector (eGovernment) should be implemented as a matter of priority in tandem with the Public Service Administration Reform.

eGovernment is an important factor in order to:

  • improve government performance
  • improve the delivery of public services
  • provide transparency concerning the government's operation to the general public
  • reduce bureaucracy and operating costs
  • increase productivity
  • provide faster services to citizens (24/7 services)

Target

Citizens and businesses have multiple communication channels with the public service (via phone, SMS, Internet etc), all of which offer the same information and experience.

Currently, the following actions are being promoted:

  • Further exploration of the opportunities offered by the Government Gateway - Ariadni
  • Platfom for the Digitazation of all schemes granted
